Membership subsidy

  • Classroom

Tonight at the meeting @megan-fenkhuber updated us on the presentation that her and @Nicholas gave to Rotary recently. She mentioned that there was a grant program worth applying to. It was brought up in the context of installing dust removal in the wood shop, which REALLY does need to be done. I’m just taking a quick look at some of the grant materials and based on the idea of engaging seniors and youth, we could probably also apply for a bucket of funds that we could use to subsidize memberships for both the youth/students and seniors. It looks like if we wanted to check ALL of the boxes for this grant we could also subsidize memberships for people with lower incomes, and teach some skills that could aid in the alleviation of poverty. And promote health. Big up to health.
