Dog training workshop? Detection

  • Linux

So I want to run a dog training workshop for the space, but I need to be a bit careful how I do it because of my other connections.
    Here’s what I’m thinking:
Run it as a demo session for the public, and only open up “working spots” (bring your dog and learn during the workshop) to makerspace members (keyholders, dropin, … maybe “supporters” too?).
    Any thoughts on this tactic?

  • You are the expert, design it and tell us when to show up and how much to bring to pay

I would bring my dog ootii. He is very good with basic commands but I have never tried any nose work with him.

Strangely, the dogs who are the “worst” with basics tend to do the best in nosework… but even the obedient ones figure it out ;)

Probably $10 for working spots, $5 for audits, most of it goes to the space. Must be a member (or at least have attended a few hack nights!) to get a working spot. 2 hours, I’ll find a date in the spring.

Let’s get an idea of members with dogs…

Make a post, since the Who is in thing is broken right now!
