I was hoping to get him to post more info about it here or link to his blog or something.
That is a brief video of it that I took yesterday. I would be interested in learning more about it too.

I happened to already have the Bioloid servos from a different kit, so I just purchased the “No Servo” version of the kit.
The servos are AX-12A’s: http://www.trossenrobotics.com/dynamixel-ax-12-robot-actuator.aspx which are daisy chained on a 1-mbit/sec serial bus.
Currently, I’m just using the stock firmware.
I’ve written several bioloid libraries for talking to the servos, in C/C++, Python, and MicroPython.
The Python stuff is here (written targetting python 2.7)
I recently rewrote much of the code in Python 3:
and have portions of it running in MicroPython.
My long-term plan is to do the full kinematics in MicroPython and use that for controlling the bot.
