Inventor HSM and HSMWorks for Solidworks - Training Sessions

  • Kamloops Innovation is hosting training sessions on August 8 & 9 with NextGenCAM.

    If you’d like to register for one or both sessions, please email me or RSVP on this thread by Monday August 1.

    What will be covered:

    • User interface, defining work coordinate systems
    • Tool libraries, stock simulation
    • Setup sheets, posting code
    • Strategic toolpath templates
    • 2D prismatic toolpath strategies, tool path boundary controls
    • Toolpath compensation, tolerances, linking
    • 3D toolpath roughing and finishing techniques with adaptive clearing
    • CAD model revision control with automatic toolpath regeneration
    • Tool holder collision detection

    August 8: Inventor HSM
    Time: 8:30 – 4:30, lunch included
    Location: Kamloops Precision Machining – 1860 Kelly Douglas Road

    Instructor: Kevin Ellingson
    Kevin Ellingson is an applications engineer who has used Autodesk manufacturing products for over 15 years in the industry. He has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how different CAD and CAM products can solve their engineering programs.

    August 9: HSMWorks for Solidworks
    Time: 8:30 – 4:30, lunch included
    Location: Kamloops Innovation – 348 Tranquille Road

    Instructor: Kevin Lee
    Kevin Lee is the Northern Territory Manager for NexGenCam and provides HSM applications consulting through technical support and training services. He has also CNC machining with g-code programming and CAD/CAM applications. Kevin was also a licensed tool maker by trade.
