Making 3-Dimensional Tiles with Kathleen Raven.
Kamloops MakerSpace announces a fundraising weekend workshop by artist Kathleen Raven. Join Salt Spring Island artist Kathleen Raven for a weekend of whimsical clay creations. During this 2 day workshop students will create a large tile that will be cut apart, sculpted, and carved. Kathleen has been creating clay sculpture and functional majolica pottery for more than 20 years. Her work is dark, strange and fantastic and lends a visual narrative to the viewer. Kathleen will demonstrate her hand building techniques and teach using a minimalist method. Registration fees go towards Kamloops MakerSpace, a local non-profit to help install their pottery kilns.

Can the giant robot arm lift clay to the third floor? My knees…
I demonstrated on my tiger wheel instead but I did show how to use the big wheel anyways, I just didn’t throw on it. No rush on working on it as I won’t be demonstrating on it for a while. But new people can use it to their liking.
